A Writing, Production, and Performance Programme for Emerging Songwriters
3rd July 2023 – 29th October 2023
STAGES is an immersive songwriting development programme designed to encourage and elevate new voices.
It will take you from generating song ideas, through developing and recording a collaborative album, all the way through to album launch and live performance.
Including residential writing retreats at Moniack Mhor, time in Chem19 recording studio in Glasgow, talks and one-to-one time with industry experts, production of an album, and culminating in a live performance and album launch at Eden Court Theatre in Inverness – Stages brings key elements of song creation and production together into one comprehensive programme that gives you the essential tools for a successful songwriting career.
Who is it for?
This programme would suit songwriters living in the UK who may have some experience of songwriting, but have yet to produce a major body of work, such as an album.
You can be working in any genre, and may have built up a portfolio already or be a complete beginner. All we ask is to hear two examples of your work. (We are interested in the song, not the recording.)

We may also be able to support you to apply for external funding to secure your place; however, if you need to access this route, we would urge you to apply as soon as possible (by the end of March) to allow for external funding deadlines. If either of these funding routes are of interest to you please indicate this on the application form and one of our team will get in touch to discuss.
