Led by writer Malachy Tallack, author of Sixty Degrees North and The Un-Discovered Islands, this workshop will give you a taste of using historical material to inspire your own work. As a starting point for your own imaginings you will look at the diaries of Henrietta Liston, botanist and diplomat’s wife, who travelled around America 200 years ago. Henrietta’s words transport us to another time and to other places – the villages of North Carolina, the lakes of Canada, and the taverns of Virginia.
This event is brought to you in partnership with the National Library of Scotland.
Please note this will take place at the Highland Archive Centre, not Moniack Mhor.
