An afternoon of international words and music: Connect and Collaborate Residency Performance at The Pier Arts Centre
Join us at The Pier Arts Centre for a vibrant blend of International and Scottish poetry and music.
This live event showcases some of the talented writers taking part in Moniack Mhor Writers’ Centre 2022 International Residencies Programme, which brings together writers from Nigeria, India, Togo, Canada, and Scotland to develop their work.
Sharing their words at this eclectic performance will be Nigerian playwright Bode Asiyanbi; Scotland based Texan poet and fiction writer, Carly Brown; Scottish poet and author Nadine Aisha Jassat; Canadian-Nigerian poet and performer, Titilope Sonuga; and Efe Paul-Azino, one of Nigeria’s leading performance poets. Woven between the words will be music from Orkney fiddler, Eric Linklater.
This promises to be a unique and magical afternoon – not to be missed. Tickets are free, with the option of making a donation. Booking is required.
